Spearheaded by Trout Unlimited, the Driftless Area Restoration Effort (DARE), is a geographically focused, locally driven, consensus based effort to protect, restore, and enhance rivers and streams for fish and other aquatic life throughout the Driftless Area.

  • Driftless Area Landscape Conservation Initiative

The Natural Resources Conservation Service and its partners are helping producers and landowners implement voluntary conservation practices that improve, protect and restore habitat for unique and diverse fish and wildlife species found in the region’s working lands, forests, streams and prairies.

Formed in late fall of 2005, our efforts aim to jointly address the issues of habitat degredation, loss, and alteration of coldwater streams and coolwater/warmwater rivers.
